Little Miss Headland 1989-90 – Hollie Carruthers won the title on the 30th anniversary of the pageant. She won the photogenic award at the 1989 pageant and was named 3rd runner up in the Little Miss National Peanut Pageant. She was also Miss Midland City in 1999-2000 and placed in the top 10 in the Miss National Peanut Festival Pageant.
Hollie is the daughter of the late Tommy Carruthers (Moultrie, GA) and Diane Bass Killingsworth (Headland) and the granddaughter of the late Bill Bass & the late Betty Jean Bass (Headland). She attended Headland schools from K to 12 and is a 2000 graduate of Headland High School. She has two girls, Hannah Diane (age 15) and Presley Jeane (age 10). Hollie played softball for the Headland Rams from 6th to 12th grades and received a softball scholarship to play softball at Enterprise State Junior Community College. She works at Dothan Oral Arts as a Dental Hygienist.
Trivia: Hollie is related to two former Little Miss Headlands, her sister, Savannah Carruthers (1993) has been previously posted and her aunt, Marianne Bass (1976), who was also Miss Headland (1986).
